Award-winning comedy film hitting cinemas in April

Here’s the trailer for Four Mothers, the comedy-drama that won the BFI London Film Festival Audience Award.

It stars  James McArdle as Edward, a novelist on the cusp of literary success, is but having to juggle his work with the responsibility of caring for his elderly mother, Alma (Fionnula Flanagan). 

As the excitement of a US book tour builds, he is suddenly faced with an unexpected twist as his three friends decide to take an impromptu Pride getaway to Spain, leaving their mothers in his care. 

The film will be released in UK and Irish cinemas on April 4.

It also stars Dearbhla Molloy, Paddy Glynn and Stella McCusker with Niamh Cusack making a cameo appearance as a medium and Rory O’Neill, aka drag performer Panti Bliss,  playing a therapist.
