Funboys trailer

New BBC comedy set in Northern Ireland

The BBC has released a trailer for Funboys as the comedy starts on BBC Northern Ireland tonight.

The  series revolves around three emotionally-unassembled young men in small-town Northern Ireland:  Callum (Ryan Dylan), Jordan (Rian Lennon) and Lorcan (Lee R James).

Executive producer and story writer Simon Mayhew-Archer, of Mayhay Studios, says: ‘It’s always nerve-wracking sharing the first look at a new comedy but I’m so confident in what Rian, Ryan and Lee have created and can’t wait to welcome people into the fun club.’

Lennon says: ‘Our show is like what if the Teletubbies took off the dang suits and got real for a second. We don't pull punches, we've written a show that’s tough as nails just like we are, and if you don’t like it you can frig the heck off.

Dylan added: ‘You can like it or lump it. This is us. Let it rip.’

Funboys on on iPlater now, will air on BBC BBC NI at 11.10pm tonight and BBC Three at 9pm on Thursday.
