Was she right?

American comedian Natalie Cuomo has gone viral after posting a clip of her losing it with an audience member.

The 29-year-old comedian yelled at the punter: ‘This is the last show—look me in the fucking eyes. It’s the last show of my fing weekend. It’s a sold-out show, and you want to say mean shit to me? Okay, so don’t fucking do that!’

Ironically she had just accused the man of putting ‘negative energy’ into the room

While it’s not clear what sparked the outburst, the clip did include some crowd work interaction in which  she implied that the man was in gay relationship.

At one point he told the comic: ‘I can roast you too. You can’t just roast all of us and get nothing.’

The angry interaction went down well in the room – the DC Comedy Loft in Washington – but opinion was more mixed online, attracting credits accusing her of ‘throwing a temper tantrum like a child’ and showing a ‘lack of control’.

After the exchange, the punter left the show. His friend then handed Cuomo his phone, showing a text  that read: ‘I did warn you I would get kicked out. She is sensitive, especially for a comedian.’

In response, the comedian took his phone and sent a photo of herself flipping the middle finger, which again drew cheers.
