Here’s the moment Peter Kay kicked out a heckler for shouting ‘garlic bread’.

The video was posted online  after running a series of reports about the incident at Manchester’s AO Arena on Saturday, dividing fans into those who thought it was over-the-top and created a sour atmosphere, and those who felt he had no choice to quell the disruptio.

In a statement, Kay explained: ‘There comes a point when dealing with repeated hecklers simply isn't enough. It's not something you ever want to do but it becomes a point when it's no longer fair to everyone around.’

The man ejected, 54-year-old Philip Peters, complained about his treatment by security staff, and in the video Kay is heard urging them to ‘kick him in the fucking face’. As the man was thrown out, a woman starts chanting: ‘We love you Peter, we do.’

Kay asks those around her if she was annoying them, and then has her thrown out too.
