Harry Enfield makes loadsamoney on his house sale

Notting Hill gaffe goes for £10.8million

comedyHarry Enfield has sold his Notting Hill home for £10.8million, it has been reported.

He and his now estranged wife, Lucy, bought the five-storey house for £6million in 2008, meaning they have made almost £5million in profit, according to the Daily Mail.

The proceeds are likely to be used to settle their divorce, with the couple separating in 2020 after 23 years of marriage.

Earlier this year, the comedian put in a planning application to add bi-fold doors and rooflights to a ground-floor extension on the Victorian property, but neighbours objected that it was out of keeping with the house’s style.

Enfield also recently stepped down as director of production company Balloon Entertainment, which he set up with Skins writer Bryan Elsley 12 years ago. The company’s credits include the Gold sitcom Newark, Newark and The Story Of The Twos sketch show Enfield made with Paul Whitehouse.
