Woman proposes at Russell Kane's comedy gig
Well, it was February 29...
An audience member at Russell Kane’s gig on Thursday took advantage of a February 29 convention to pop the question.
The comic started chatting to Faye Nixon and her boyfriend Paul Newman from the stage in Market Drayton, Staffordshire, during his tour show there.
And after the conversation turned to their dating history he invited them both up on stage, where the comic prompted Faye into asking er partner of five years to marry him.
‘As much as I hate public speaking – and he knows that I do – will you do me the honour.’ she asked, producing the ring.
A stunned Paul said ‘Really? Is this genuine?’ before accepting.
Kane then made a joke of the moment by saying: ‘Oh and by the way she’s got chlamydia’ before congratulating them both.
