Kate Nash to appear in Edinburgh Fringe comedy show
Chart-topping musician Kate Nash is to appear in a comedy show at the Edinburgh Fringe.
The Brit Award-winning Foundations singer is producing an Underbelly show called The Retreat, set in a fictional corporate retreat.
And a show insider reveals that she will also make guest appearances in the show ‘when her schedule allows’.
The Retreat stars Rebekka Johnson – who appears alongside Nash in Netflix’s wrestling comedy-drama GLOW. Johnson played Dawn Rivecca, half of The Beatdown Biddies duo, while Nash plated Rhonda ‘Britannica’ Richardson.
The pair are also said to be developing a mystery project for the UK.
Dates for Nash’s appearances have not been announced, but she is otherwise engaged at the Bingley Weekender in Yorkshire on August 4.
The Retreat – which Johnson created with Anne Gregory, who played Susan in the Beauty Pageant episode of Parks and Recreation – is set at the welcome event for the corporate getaway of fictional company Men-ses Period Panties, and features guestsbetween the hosts’ alt-comedy turns. It runs at Underbelly Cowgate at 8pm throughout the Fringe.
GLOW was axed during the Covid lockdown, even though shooting had already started on season 4.
