That would be a philatelical matter...
Ireland releases a set of Father Ted stamps
The Irish post office is marking the 25th anniversary of Father Ted with a new series of stamps.
Each of the designs features a catchphrase from the Channel 4 comedy, set against a gaudy retro wallpaper as seen the Craggy Island Parochial House.
Four styles are available: ‘That would be an ecumenical matter’, ‘Will you have a cup of tea, Father’, and ‘That's mad, Ted’ for domestic letters, and ‘That money was just resting in my account’ for international post.
A survey conducted by An Post to mark today’s release found that 88 per cent of Irish people said they used ‘Ted-isms’ in direct conversation, while 20 per cent quoted the series on a daily basis.
