It's the biggest acknowledgement yet that Hannah Gadsby has arrived in American showbusiness – she's been impersonated on Saturday Night Live,

Aidy Bryant mimicked the deadpan Australian comedian in a sketch suggesting possible new Oscars hosts after Kevin Hart stood down amid the storm over his old homophobic tweets and material.

Gadsby has been suggested as a possible presenter after the success of her Netflix stand-up special, Nanette.

She finds herself in good company in last night's sketch, alongside the likes of Chris Hemsworth (as played by Matt Damon), Kanye West (Chris Redd) and Sarah Silverman (Kate Mckinnon)
