Frankie Boyle shuts down 'hurtful' Twitter account
Frankie Boyle has called out a fake Twitter user for pretending to be him
And the giveaway should have been that the messages sent by the bogus user were kind and thankful.
The Scottish comic shared a screen shot of a direct message the phoney account @Frankieboyle01 sent to a fan saying: ‘Thanks much for your love and support I really appreciate you a lot.’
Boyle fumed to the 2.75million followers of his real account, @frankieboyle: ‘I find the suggestion that I care about or appreciate anyone on here hurtful.’
The bogus account has now been suspended.
Yesterday Boyle was the focus of Twitter users’ attention because a contestant on ITV’s daytime quiz show Tipping Point called Andy, left, was the splitting image of the comic.
