They're a big draw...
Comedy is full of colourful characters… so perhaps it’s apt that a host of stand-ups feature in a new adult colouring book.
A total of 30 comics feature in Lisey and Jenby’s Bumper Book of Comedy Colouring, Vol. 1, all of them women.
As well as colouring in, readers can fill in challenges - such as reassuring Mel and Sue, above, that there is no double entendres in the names of their cakes, coming up with positive slogans for Josie Long and completing an Only Connect wall behind Victoria Coren Mitchell.
Other acts featured include Aisling Bea, who said ‘how cute!’; Rachel Parris (‘utterly lovely’) and Suzi Ruffell (‘I’m delighted’).
Here is the image of Jo Brand dealing with hecklers.
And here’s Bec Hill with her set list as she presented it for her last stand-up show.
The book has been designed by illustrators Jenny Grene and Lise Richardson, who previously put together The Elis James and John Robins Colouring Experience, based on running jokes in their podcast and Radio X shows.
Grene said: ‘We’re hoping that this will be the second in a whole series of comedy-based colouring books.’
The book will be released in the next couple of weeks and is available to pre-order here.
