Behind-the-scenes award for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver

The makers of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver have scooped a gong at the Producers Guild of America Awards.

The team behind the HBO satire, which is made by British-based Avalon, won the accolade in the category for live entertainment and talk television.

Makers of Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel won the award for episodic TV comedy.

And Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee won the award for outstanding short-form programme.

The prizes were handed out on Saturday night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
