One of London’s oldest comedy nights, Banana Cabaret, is returning to its home of 35 years, The Bedford pub in Balham, from next month.  The venue has been closed for the past eight month while it underwent a multi-million pound redevelopment and will now officially reopen on December 3. Listings

The Stand comedy clubs in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle have advertised for a replacement for Kenny O’Brien, the general manager who has just stepped down after 20 years in the job. The job is for an experienced event manager and pays £40,000 to £50,0000. Full details are here.

Tickets have gone on sale for the annual Ted Fest held on the island of Inis Mor off the West coast of Ireland in celebration of Father Ted. The 13th annual event, running from February 21 to 24, includes such activities as The Picnic Spot Swear Off, Ted’s Got Talent and a Priests’ Dance Off. More info.

Clive Anderson is to host three nights of Whose Line Is It Anyway? in the main auditorium of London’s Royal Albert Hall from December 15 to mark the 30th anniversary of the hit improv show. Contestants will include Colin Mochrie, Josie Lawrence and Greg Proops. Tickets.
