...as Bill Hader's quirky comedy is renewed for series 2

Sky Atlantic has announced a launch date for Bill Hader’s new comedy Barry – just as HBO confirms as second series.

In the quirky, off-kilter show, Hader plays a depressed, low-rent hitman who travels to Los Angeles for a kill and starts finding himself drawn to the world of acting.

The eight-part series co-stars Stephen Root, Sarah Goldberg, Glenn Fleshler, Anthony Carrigan and Henry Winkler.

Barry will launch on Sky Atlantic at 10.45pm on Thursday April 26 

HBO announced a second series yesterday, as it also renewed Silicon Valley for a sixth season.
