Taking on the trolls, and the World Cup

Australia’s ABC has announced some new comedy podcasts.

Alice Fraser, Cal Wilson and Sami Shah will co-host Troll Play, about online abuse, in an attempt to turn the ‘manure of the internet into flowers of joy’ in one new show as they debate online trolling, during the Troll Play podcast.

 Nazeem Hussain will return with season three of the hit ‘anti-travel’ podcast, Burn Your Passport, in which guest comics discuss their overseas nightmares.

And the existing podcast Santo, Sam and Ed’s Total Football – with Santo Cilauro, Sam Pang and Ed Kavalee – will launch new episodes to cover the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

ABC executive David Anderson said: ‘The ABC has a long history of investing in world class Australian comedy for our audiences.  Our audiences’ behaviours continue to change, and as content makers our job is to deliver them experiences when and where they want them.’

Typically ABC podcasts have been available globally.
