Student Comedy Award semi-finalists announced

Come and watch the stars of the future!

The semi-finalists have been announced for the 2025 Chortle Student Comedy Award.

Aspiring stand-ups will appear in five showcases next month in the hope of following the likes of Joe Lycett, Phil Wang, Jamali Maddix, Ed Gamble, Chris Ramsey, Richard Gadd, Laura Lexx, Iain Stirling, Simon Bird and Tom Rosenthal as finalists. 

And the champion - to be crowned at the Edinburgh Fringe – will receive £1,000, with £250 for the runner-up.
