Flight Of The Conchords star will appear alongside The Split's Nicola Walker

Flight Of The Conchords comedian Jemaine Clement is to star in a new comedy series from the makers of Baby Reindeer.

The Kiwi comic will star alongside The Split's Nicola Walker in Alice And Steve, which is expected to start filming in London in May.

No other details about the plot and the casting have been announced, although it is a rare foray into comedy for Walker, whose other credits include Spooks and  Unforgotten.

Clerkenwell Films, the production company whose also made The End of the F***ing World, is behind the project.

An unnamed TV side told the Sun: ‘Disney+ securing [Walker] for one of its new comedies is seen as a big win.’

Alice And Steve is expected to hit screens next year.
