Dara O Briain joins Radio 4’s Curious Cases
Dara O Briain has joined Radio 4’s Curious Cases with mathematician Hannah Fry.
The comedian replaces broadcaster and writer Adam Rutherford in a new series of the science-based show when it returns next week.
In each episode – which will air on Radio 4 on Saturday mornings and released as a podcast – the pair will investigate quirky questions as posed by listeners.
Puzzles tacked in the new series include" Could you power a spaceship with a lemon? Can you actually die of boredom? Why do some people *taste* words? Why does Hannah have absolutely no sense of rhythm? And could we stop climate change with massive space bubbles?
In a trailer, science buff O Briain says: ‘I like the principle. People ask a question and then we go deep on answering it and see where that goes.’
The show began in 2016 and has run for more than 130 episodes, available on BBC Sounds, Apple or Spotify, but the series has been off air for more than 18 months.
