With contestants vying to be The Snake

Jim Jefferies is to host a competitive reality show in the States.

The Snake will follow 15 people from various walks of life trying to manipulate their way to becoming that week’s snake, who decides who stays and who leaves the show as they compete to win $100,000.

Jefferies  – who already hosts the Australian version of  The 1% Club – said: ‘I’m thrilled to be hosting The Snake. A show about making friends and faking friends. I’ve been training for this job my whole life. Growing up In Australia, and now living in Hollywood, I’ve been around plenty of snakes."

The show comes from Jersey Shore creator SallyAnn Salsano and will air on the Fox network in the US.

Fox Entertainment president Michael Thorn called it a ‘fresh take on the strategy competition series and a universally appealing concept that will captivate audiences’.
