Comedy format is a hit for Amazon

More than 6million viewers have watch the first episode of LOL: Last One Laughing, it has been reported.

The 6.1million figure makes the reality show – in which comedians battled to make each other laugh without cracking up themselves – one of the platform’s most-watched original programmes.

Another 5.3 million watched episode two in the first 28 days after it dropped, trade website Deadline reports.

Jimmy Carr fronted the six-part programme, with assistance from Roisin Conaty and the contestants were Daisy May Cooper, Joe Lycett, Judi Love, Rob Beckett, Sara Pascoe, Lou Sanders, Joe Wilkinson, Harriet Kemsley and Richard Ayoade. 

It is the latest adaptation of Japan’s Documental, created by Hitoshi Matsumoto, with local versions across the world, including Ireland and Australia.
