Every episode of Red Dwarf touches down on iPlayer

As do Gimme Gimme Gimme and Mister Winner.

Every episode of Red Dwarf has been added to BBC iPlayer – along with Kathy Burke sitcom Gimme Gimme Gimme and Spencer Jones’s Mister Winner.

The Red Dwarf collection also includes the four revived series originally made for the Dave channel as well as the eight original series made for the BBC from 1988 to 1997.

The sci-fi comedy has not been on the BBC since 2007, and the revived series – including the recent feature-length special The Promised Land – has never been shown on the BBC before.

Dan McGolpin, director of BBC iPlayer, said: ‘The strangest gang in space are back on the BBC - with classic episodes of Red Dwarf right from the very beginning touching down soon.’

Also added today are all three episodes of the innuendo-filled sitcom Gimme, Gimme, Gimme that Burke developed with writer Jonathan Harvey.

She stars as Linda La Plume, who shares her flat with aspiring actor Tom Farrell (James Dreyfus) as they each hunt for the perfect man, while remaining delusional about their own shortcomings.

It originally ran from 1999 to 2001.

Meanwhile Miser Winner ran on BBC One for just one series in 2020, following a 2017 pilot.

However, some clips have gone viral, with this scene of Jones’s alter-ego trying to avoid paying for a plastic bag racking up 3.5million views on YouTube alone.
