Here We Go... for a fourth time

BBC 'poised to renew family sitcom'

The BBC is set to renew Here We Go for a fourth series, it has been reported.

According to The Sun’s TV Biz column, contacts are ‘set to be signed’ with the ensemble cast of Tom Basden’s family mockumentary.

The news comes before the third series has even aired.

A pilot episode, originally titled Pandemonium, was broadcast in 2020 as part of the BBC’s Comedy Playhouse strand, followed by a full series in 2022 and a second which aired last year. A total of 1.74million viewers watched the first episode of that series.

Revolving around the exploits of the Jessop family, the show stars Jim Howick, Katherine Parkinson, Alison Steadman, Freya Parks and Tori Allen-Martin alongside Basden.

Guest stars have included Harry Hill, Tim Key, Katy Wix  and Simon Farnaby.

It has been praised by critics, with the Daily Telegraph calling the first series ‘a masterpiece of subtle technique’ in a five-star review.
