Russell Kane releases his first single
Russell Kane has released his first ever single – a 1990s-style swing ballad inspired by his irritation at his wife Lindsey leaving her dirty laundry on the floor.
The refrain for Laundry Fight sexily urges ‘take your panties off…’ before adding: ‘…the floor’
Proceeds from the RnB parody will go towards suicide prevention charity Campaign Against Living Miserably – CALM – for whom the comedian is an ambassador.
He said: ‘I'm buzzing like my wife's toy drawer to be making music for the first time in my life, and for such an amazing cause.
‘The more we can get people talking and communicating the healthier we become. CALM is such a superb charity and I'm proud (and a bit emotional) to be fundraising for them - even if it has taken the form of my mid-life crisis with me rapping.’
Kane has teamed up with acclaimed producer Nick Bridges – who has previously worked with the likes of Bodyrox and nDubz – as well as musicians and songwriters Si Hulbert – who has worked with One Direction and Ed Sheeran – and Amanda Wilson (Avicii, The Freemasons) to craft the track
