Nick Mohammed 'signs up for Celebrity Traitors'
Well, he has played a turncoat on Ted Lasso
Nick Mohammed has reportedly signed up to appear on the BBC’s Celebrity Traitors.
The comedian. best known for playing kit man turned rival coach Nathan ‘Nate' Shelley on Ted Lasso, is said to be heading to Scotland in the coming days.
An unnamed source told The Sun: ‘On Ted Lasso, his character Nathan was a really surprising villain, absolutely no one saw it coming. Nick is going to bring an element of that to The Traitors.’
This is the first reality show Mohammed would have been involved in, although he did make a guest appearance on Amazon's Last One Laughing recently.
He’s appeared on Eight Out Of Ten Cats Does Countdown in the guise of his alter-ego Mr Swallow, and created and co-starred in Sky comedy Intelligence with David Schwimmer.
He previously said it was ‘thrilling' to play a villain on Ted Lasso.
Other stars said to be appearing in the first celebrity version of The Traitors include Stephen Fry, Kate Garraway, Alan Carr, Olympic diver Tom Daley, singer Paloma Faith and former rugby player Joe Marler.
A spokesperson for the show said: ‘The Traitors is a game that includes lies and deception, thus it would be foolhardy for any Faithful to speculate before the game has begun.’
Filming will take place at Ardross Castle, near Alness in the Scottish Highlands, soon.
Mohammed will have time to film it before his new tour Show Pony – performed as Mr Swallow – kicks off in Guildford on May 13.
