MBE for Pauline Quirke

And for Fleabag producer Francesca Moody

Birds Of A Feather star Pauline Quirke has been made an MBE in the Queen’s jubilee honours

The actress, who also runs a network of stage schools, was rewarded for ‘services to young people, to the entertainment industry and to charity’.

As well as her acting work, Quirke runs the PQA Trust charity to support underprivileged children wanting to train in the performing arts.

The 62-year-old has reportedly fallen out with her sitcom co-star Linda Robson, leading to her absence from the final episode of the comedy in 2020

But Robson has  branded the rumours ‘a load of old shit’, adding: ‘We have not fallen out and we have never fallen out. I have been best friends with her since we were 10 years of age. We never fell out.

Also honoured today is Francesca Moody, who produced the live version of Fleabag, as well as other shows including Richard Gadd’s Baby Reindeer.

She was made an MBE for her ‘services to charitable fundraising for the arts during Covid-19’.

With the help of Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Moody set up the Fleabag Support Fund to help performers and other entertainment industry workers in need through the pandemic.

She was also one of the co-founders of the  the online Shedinburgh Fringe, which featured performances from the likes of  Sara Pascoe, Deborah Frances-White and Rosie Jones during lockdown.
