Judy Murray to make her Edinburgh Fringe debut
Tennis coach Judy Murray is to make her Edinburgh Fringe debut this year.
The mother of sporting stars Jamie and Sir Andy will be co-hosting a chat show with her ‘other son’, Duncan, as played by comic Chris Forbes.
They previously made a series of online videos featuring the less sporting sibling, attracting more than three million views.
Forbes has previously said: ‘It has been quite odd. A lot of people think Duncan is real. While that is quite concerning, it is also quite sweet. People have really taken this fictional being to their heart. It's nice to see that people will care for somebody even though he doesn't exist.’
The Duncan and Judy Show is one of a new batch announced by the Gilded Balloon tonight, ahead of a major release of shows tomorrow.
Also performing at the venue will be US comedy star Janeane Garofalo, America’s Got Talent winner Paul Zerdin and Dave Johns - the star of Ken Loach’s I, Daniel Blake who says he is returning to the festival for one last time
Also appearing will be Grace Campbell, Eleanor Tiernan, Jazz Emu, Jen Ives, Ian Lynam, Shazia Mirza, Tehran Von Ghasri, JoJo Sutherland, Leah MacRae and Glasgow-based sketch group Weegie Hink Ae That?
Triggernometry Live – the generally ‘anti-woke’ podcast hosted by Konstantin Kisin and Francis Foster – will be staging a live session, while less controversially Fred MacAulay will be back with his ‘in conversation’ show
Tickets will go on sale at midday on Thursday at tickets.gildedballoon.co.uk
