Richard Herring pens an International Men's Day book

Tackling toxic masulinity

Richard Herring has written a book inspired by his annual battle with sexist trolls on International Women's Day.

The comedian dedicates the day, March 8, to responding to smug comments on Twitter asking  'when is International Men's Day?’ by telling them it's on November 19.

Now he is writing The Problem with Men, promising to tackle some of the big questions surrounding toxic masculinity, which will be published just two weeks before this year’s International Men's Day.

Publishers Sphere say questions raised included: ‘should men fear feminism?’, ’Is society sexist against men?’ and ‘could you win a point against Serena Williams?’…. revealing that the answer to all of these is ‘no’.

Herring - who has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for causes such as domestic violence charity Refuge from his Twitter campaign - revealed that he had an impending deadline for the book on the latest epsiode of his RHLSTP podcast.

The Problem with Men: When is it International Men’s Day? (and why it matters) is available to order here.
