Big charity gig in London next month

James Acaster is to headline a major charity gig to aid those affected by the war in Ukraine.

He will appear alongside the likes of Maisie Adam, Larry Dean, Jessica Fostekew and Slim at the Clapham Grand in South London on May 22.

Compere Ben Van Der Velde, who also helped organise the gig, said: ‘Since that grim Oval Office meeting a few weeks ago, we’ve been determined to do something constructive to help the people of Ukraine. 

‘Not only is it a defining cause of our time, but since their President is an actual stand-up comedian, it only seems fair the UK comedy circuit lends a hand.’

All funds raised will go to the United 24 fund, directly providing humanitarian aid, medical care, military aid and the means to rebuild Ukraine.
