Demetri Martin heads to the UK
Former Perrier-winner Demetri Martin is making a rare return to the UK for a short tour next year.
The American comic will be performing just three dates of his new stand-up show Wandering Mind in April next year.
He will be at the Lowry in Salford on April 16; Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham on April 17 and at the London Palladium on April 18.
Some tickets go on sale from 9am tomorrow, with general release at 9am on Friday.
Starting his comedy career on the New York circuit, Martin won the Perrier at the 2003 Edinburgh Fringe, and the Barry Award at the Melbourne Comedy Festival three years later.
He has released three albums and four stand-up comedy specials, including his latest, The Overthinker, which came out on Netflix earlier this year.
Martin has also been a staff writer for Conan O’Brien’s American talk show and a correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, as well as creating his own series for Comedy Central US called Important Things with Demetri Martin.
Last year, he wrote and directed his first feature film, Dean.
