BBC's new comedy Enterprice
BBC Three has picked up the comedy pilot Enterprice for a full series.
Four 25-minute episodes have been commissioned following a pilot which aired as part of the Comedy Slices strand last year.
It is written by and stars Kayode Ewumi, who was previously one of the creators of hit internet comedy #HoodDocumentary.
The show follows lovable but unpredictable Kazim and his more serious-minded business partner Jeremiah (Daniel Ezre), as they try to make a hit of their home delivery service Speedi-Kazz.
Ewumi says: ‘I think this is crazy! To get given a series at the age of 23 will always be a blessing. I can’t wait to show the world this new baby of mine.’
The BBC says: ‘Funny, slightly surreal, and totally unpredictable… Enterprice is packed with performances from new talent, with a style all of its own. Elephant and Castle has never looked so cinematic.’
Enterprice will be made by Fudge Park, the production company set up by Inbetweeners creators Iain Morris, Damon Beesley and others.
The show was the only comedy in a raft of new BBC Three commissions announced today.
Channel chief Damian Kavanagh said: ‘These new programmes emphasise BBC Three’s commitment to working with new talent and providing a platform to tell stories that resonate with young people.’
