Sky orders a second series of Living The Dream

Sky One’s comedy-drama Living the Dream has been recommissioned for a second series.

The show, currently airing on Thursday nights at 9pm, stars  Philip Glenister and Lesley Sharp as a couple who left Britain with their two children for a new life on a sun-kissed Florida trailer park. But they find the American dream was not all they had hoped for.

The first episode attracted an audience of 830,000, making it the biggest launch of a comedy-drama on Sky One since 2012. 

Shooting will start on the second series in the spring, and Glenister said: ‘I'm looking forward to continuing living our dream… and teaching the residents on the RV park how to make a proper brew.’

Living the Dream is created and written by Mick Ford and produced by Big Talk, the makers of Cold Feet and Rev.
