Jack Whitehall to front World Cup series
Jack Whitehall is to front a YouTube series about next year’s football World Cup.
In each episode of the unscripted series Training Days, the comedian will visit the training ground of an international football team to report on their preparations.
His League Of Their Own colleague James Corden will be an executive producer on the show, which is being made through his production company Fulwell 43.
Whitehall said: ‘With the Premier League now being one of the most popular and watched leagues in the world and being populated by many global footballing superstars, I'm really excited to be doing a show that can potentially be enjoyed worldwide.
‘And with James Corden as one of the producers, with any luck, this could turn into the Carpool Karaoke of football.... except I can't drive.’
The deal is YouTube’s first original commission in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and will be supported by advertising.
