Sarah Millican tops bestseller chart
Sarah Millican has topped the Sunday Times bestseller list with her first book How To Be Champion on its first week of release.
Combining elements of memoir and self-help guide, the title sold 6,865 copies in the week – enough to propel her to the top of the general hardback charts.
She tweeted this afternoon: 'Thank you to everyone who helped me get to number one in the Times Bestseller chart. So glad you're loving my little book. I still can't quite believe it.'
The bestseller list is dominated by comedy stars, who claim all of the top four places today.
Russell Brand’s Recovery, about breaking his cycle of addictions, is at No 2 and This Is Going To Hurt, Adam Kay’s funny and revealing diary of his time as a junior doctor is at No 3. Fourth is David Jason’s memoir Only Fools and Stories.
