...and a UK release date

Roisin Conaty’s comedy series GameFace has been given a UK broadcast date – and been sold to the States.

The show will start on E4 at 9pm on October 12 with a double bill, the comic has announced on Twitter.

Meanwhile, US streaming service Hulu has picked up the rights for America, where it will be available from the autumn.

The six-part series has been a long time coming, as the original pilot aired in April 2014.

In it, Conaty plays Marcella, who ‘crashes her way through life’, assisted by her a life-coach, best friends and an ever-patient driving instructors.

It is made by Peep Show producers Objective Fiction and will be directed by Andrew Chaplin, whose credits include Witless and Charlie Brooker’s Weekly Wipe.

Louise Pedersen, chief executive of Objective’s parent company All3Media International, said: ‘The pilot episode received a fantastic response, with wide critical acclaim, and we’re looking forward to seeing its success grow as we bring the full series to broadcasters and platforms around the world.’
