Revealed: Alice Lowe's follow-up to Prevenge
Alice Lowe has started work on her new film, a ‘metaphysical rom-com’ called Timestalker.
Like her previous big-screen outing, Prevenge, Lowe will write, direct and star in the film, which is scheduled to be shot in 2019.
The plot spans historical eras, with the lead character Agnes reincarnated every time she falls in love with the wrong man
Lowe told industry website Screen Daily: ‘I am so excited to wrangle this crazy adventure that’s been lurking in the back of my mind for over a year.
‘I want to bring to audiences the concept-driven comedy that I enjoy but haven’t seen on screen for a while. It’s going to be colourful splashy and wild. I can’t wait.’
The film, also described as ‘hilarious’ and ‘violent’, is being developed by Western Edge Pictures and produced by Vaughan Sivell, who also made Prevenge.
He called Garth Marenghi and Sightseers star Lowe ‘a unique talent in the industry, a real joy to work with and incredibly brave in the challenges she sets herself’.
