Sarah Millican pilots BBC panel show

With women making up the majority of guests

Sarah Millican is piloting a new female-led panel show for Radio 4.

The comic will host Elephant in the Room, which uses national surveys to establish which of its guest panel is closest  to – and furthest from – the average British person.

Typical questions might include: How old were you when you were first kissed? What’s your favourite cheese? And which film have you watched the most times?

Panellists for the pilot are still to be revealed for the recording on October 1 at the Shaw Theatre in London. But according to Millican, they will confound typical panel show ratios by being comprised of 'three champion women and one smashing male'.

Elephant in the Room is the second recent Radio 4 pilot to announce a predominantly female-led line-up after the topical quiz Where's The F in News, hosted by Have I Got News For You producer Jo Bunting.

Millican's autobiography, How To Be Champion, is published on October 5 and she will read extracts as Radio 4’s Book of the Week.
