Amy Schumer to make her Broadway debut

...in a Steve Martin play

Amy Schumer is to make her Broadway debut in Steve Martin’s new comedy play

Follow comic  Keegan-Michael Key is also making his New York theatre debut in Meteor Shower, which opens in November.

The play is about two married couples who gather in a backyard to watch at the titular event. The production blurb adds that ’as the stars come out and the conversation gets rolling, cocktails flow, tempers flare, and sparks fly—literally’

Playing at the Booth Theater, the show's cast also includes Tony Award winner Laura Benanti and Star Wars: Rogue One actor Alan Tudyk.

Schumer tweeted a photo of herself with Martin to announce the news, which the 71-year-old comic retweeted with the caption: ‘I am more thrilled than thrilled about this announcement. Thank you, Amy, Keegan-Michael, Laura, and Alan. An impeccable cast.’
