The revival of Will & Grace as landed a second season before the first has even aired.

NBC also hiked the number of episodes in the first return run from 12 to 16.

The original series ran for eight seasons from 1998 to 2006 and was resurrected following the success of an online sketch made about last year’s presidential elections.

Star Debra Messing said that returning for a table read of the first new episode this week ‘felt like coming home, and we laughed so hard’.

And co-star Eric McCormack said it was a ‘no-brainer’ that the series was renewed so quickly.
