Little tour for big comics

US names head to the UK

Three of America’s top live comics are heading to the UK for a brief arena tour. Cedric ‘The Entertainer’, DL Hughley and George Lopez are combining for the Comedy Get Down show, which visits the UK for the first time following its American tour. Cedric ‘The Entertainer’ has appeared in movies such as Babershop, Be Cool and Intolerable Cruelty, while his first comedy book Grown-Ass Man was a 2002 best-seller, based on his catchphrase. Hughey, who shot to fame on The Original Kings of Comedy stand-up tour and concert film, starred in his own ABC TV show, The Hughleys, from 2000 to 2002 and now has a syndicated afternoon radio show across the US. Lopez, pictured, also had his own eponymous ABC sitcom and has provided voices on films such as Rio, The Smurfs 1and The Beverly Hills Chihuahua 1, 2, and 3.  Their tour visits Manchester Arena on October 31, Birmingham Barclaycard Arena on November 1 and the SSE Arena Wembley on November 2.   Tickets will be on general sale from Friday 28.
