Tom Ellis drops more hints

Miranda star Tom Ellis has confirmed that he is in 'in talks' about bringing the hit sitcom back to BBC One.

The actor played Gary, the love interest for Miranda Hart's character, with the pair tying the knot on the final episode on New Year's Day, 2015.

Responding to rumours of a comeback, Ellis told the Huffington Post: 'We're talking about it, yes. At the moment, it is difficult and it's just about scheduling and getting us all together in the same room, but we are talking about doing a few more bits in the future. That's as much as I can tell you at the moment.'

Hart has previously suggested how the sitcom could pick up the story of her clumsy on-screen alter-ego, saying: '‘I think you could do married life as a sitcom, with Miranda and Gary and see how they're getting on.'

And earlier this year, co-star Sarah Hadland, who plays Stevie, said: there was 'a strong possibility' of a comeback.

More than seven million people watched the last episode of Miranda.
