Peak comedy
This week's best comedy shows on demand.
Be Lucky
Milton Jones, Elis James and Ackerley Bridge actor Jo Joyner star in this sitcom from BBC Radio Wales, first broadcast in October but back on iPlayer after a repeat last night.
James plays a man trying to live a quiet, isolated life in Snowdonia – but finds out that harder than he thought, especially because of the constant attentions of his postman Gabriel (Jones).
It's penned by James Cary, who literally wrote the book on sitcom, as well as Bluestone 42, Hut 33 and other comedies without numbers in their titles – and his script here is knowing, gag-heavy and sometimes surreal.
Listen on iPlayer.
Wait,Wait Don't Tell Me
Eddie Izzard was the special guest in the latest edition of this long-running news panel game, which airs on NPR in the States. And in the first round he was faced with questions on Australian band King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Just because. Also on this week's show were Alonzo Bodden, Phoebe Robinson, and Brian Babylon – and it's available for listening here
