League of Gentlemen plan Christmas special
The League of Gentleman are hoping to make their long-awaited comeback with a Christmas special this year.
Last month, Mark Gatiss revealed that the team were planning anniversary special, as 2017 marks 20 years since their radio series launched.
And Steve Pemberton revealed more on the red carpet of the Baftas this weekend.
'League of Gentlemen, we're hoping to make a comeback,' he said. 'We're going to start writing some sketches for the characters and we're going to see if we can do a Christmas special this year.'
The team, also including Reece Shearsmith and Jeremy Dyson, have frequently spoken about a reunion in interviews, since revealing that they discussed plans over lunch in 2014.
Pemberton and Shearsmith have also just finished filming the fourth series of Inside No 9 with guest stars including Zoë Wanamaker, Emilia Fox, and Noel Clarke – which may free up some time to write the Christmas special.
Speaking to What's On TV at the weekend, Pemberton also revealed: 'I have a couple of other writing projects on the go which haven't been announced yet so I can't really talk about them.'
Here's his interview:
