Paul Zerdin announces tour
PAUL ZERDIN, the comic ventriloquist who won America’s Got Talent in 2015, has announced a 45-date tour of the UK, starting at Wimborne’s Tivoli Theatre on September 9 and ending with three nights at London’s Leicester Square Theatre in November (Schedule). Tickets go on sale on Friday.
RUSSELL HOWARD has added ten more international dates to his Round The World tour – new shows in Hong Kong, Singapore, Ottawa, Los Angeles, Dubai (three nights), plus second dates in New York, Montreal and Amsterdam.
JOE IRVINE, a third year film studies student, won the heat of the Chortle Student Comedy Award in his home university of St Andrews last night. And Brian Morton, a Dubliner who is studying for a PhD in infection and immunity at Glasgow, won the People’s Choice place from the Glasgow heat last week. NETFLIX has announced that GLOW, its comedy series about 1980s female wrestling, will launch on June 23. The show stars Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin and comic Marc Maron.
GREG DAVIES has become a patron of Grinshill Animal Rescue Centre, a family-run charity for dogs and cats, in his home county of Shropshire.
