Seinfeld's Mr Ross dies at 91
Warren Frost, who played George Constanza’s potential father-in-law on Seinfeld has died at the age of 91.
The character actor, who was known for his role as Dr. Will Hayward on Twin Peaks, died at his home in Vermont yesterday after a long illness.
His character, Mr Ross, appeared in five episodes of Seinfeld, the wealthy father of George’s fiancee Susan, who died from licking cheap, toxic wedding invitation envelopes. He’s pictured above with Grace Zabriski, who played his alcoholic wife.
Frost also had guest roles on series including The Larry Sanders Show –playing Larry’s father Jerry – Matlock and Murphy Brown.
His son Mark, who created Twin Peaks with David Lynch, said: ‘From the Normandy shores on D-Day to his 50-year career on stage and screen, he remained the same humble guy from Vermont who taught us that a life devoted to telling the right kind of truths can make a real difference in the lives of others.
‘We’re grateful to have shared him with the world for as long as we did.’
