Rory McGrath purged from TV show
Rory McGrath has been edited out of a TV series following his conviction for harassment last week.
The comedian was due to appear on ITV weight-loss programme Sugar Free Farm tonight. However scenes he had previously recorded have now been dropped and the show re-edited since the court case.
McGrath appeared in the show last year, and was due to return tonight to see if he has kept the weight off.
ITV declined to officially comment, but the Mirror reports a source saying: ‘We took the decision that given his recent conviction, it would be inappropriate for him to feature in the episode, so his contribution has not been included in the final edit.’
The current series of Sugar Free Farm featured seven stars including actor Peter Davison, ex-MP Ann Widdecombe, and comic Joe Pasquale.
McGrath was last week sentenced to 10 weeks in jail, suspended for 18 months, after admitting harassing a married woman he’d previously had an affair with.
