Mangan to host fake news panel show

The comic, who performs as Lee Nelson, showered former Fifa boss Sepp Blatter in fake banknotes, stormed Kanye West’s stage at Glastonbury and disrupted a Donald Trump speech at his Scottish golf resort. Programme makers followed Brodkin last year as he prepared for new stunts.
The programme is called Britain's Greatest Hoaxer and will be made by the production arm of his agents, Avalon. It charts his stunts against Trump, Simon Cowell and former BHS chief Sir Phillip Green,
The week of programmes, to air next month, also includes a documentary on the paparazzi and regular debunking of false stories purporting to be real news from the Channel 4 news team.
Participants fo the panel show, simply called The Fake News Show, have not yet been named. As we reported earlier in the week, it will be about outlandish false stories spreading on social media.
