New C4 pilot for Alan Carr
Alan Carr is piloting a new Channel 4 show with I’m A Celebrity… winner Scarlett Moffatt.
Details of the new entertainment programme are still under wraps, but it is one of two shows the broadcaster is developing with the former Gogglebox star, according to The Sun on Sunday.
The other is a remake of Streetmate, the dating show which tries to match up random members of the public, which was originally hosted by Davina McCall when it first launched in 1998.
Moffatt described herself as ‘the female Alan Carr’ when she appeared on Gogglebox – and she appeared on Chatty Man last year to promote her book.
However she has no other presenting experience, so the move – which would make her one of the most high-profile faces on Channel 4 if it comes off – is seen as vote of confidence in the Geordie celebrity.
Carr launched his new show Happy Hour on Channel 4 last month, billed as a more family-friendly spin-off from Chatty Man, which has come to an end after 16 series.
