Mathew Horne joins The Miser

As do Katy Wix, Andi Osho and Ellie White

Mathew Horne has joined Griff Rhys Jones and Lee Mack in the West End revival of Moliere comedy The Miser.

Katy Wix, Mack’s co-star in Not Going Out, has also joined the cast along with stand-up Andi Osho and comedy regular Ellie White, most recently seen in The Windsors.

The play, directed by Sean Foley, is Rhys Jones’s first West End role in five years, and Mack’s debut.

First performed in Paris in 1668, the satirical farce revolves around a paranoid old spendthrift Harpagon (Rhys Jones). Fiercely protective of his fortune, he is attempting to secure wealthy spouses for his children.

It will be presented at Bath Theatre Royal and Richmond Theatre, before transferring to the Garrick Theatre on Wednesday March 1.

Also in the cast are Saikat Ahamed, Ryan Gage, Simon Holmes, and Michael Webber.
