Morgana pulls out of comedy play
Morgana Robinson has pulled out of a new play, citing ‘unforeseen personal reasons’.
The comedian and impressionist, who recently starred in her own BBC Two series The Agency, was due to appear in Raising Martha at the Park Theatre in North London next month.
Gwyneth Keyworth – recently starred as Alison in E4’s cult show Wasted – will now take over the role of Caro in the dark comedy about a family who call in a hapless police inspector when animal rights activists are suspected of stealing their mother’s corpse
Julian Bleach, the co-creator of Shockheaded Peter who is now best known as Davro in Dr Who has also joined the cast alongside Phone Shop’s Tom Bennett, Plebs star Joel Fry, stage actor Jasper Britton and Jeff Rawle, from Drop the Dead Donkey and the recent Stetpoe & Son TV revival.
Raising Martha, by David Spicer, starts its run on January 12. And Robinson will be on Channel 4 over Christmas, playing Pippa Middleton in a Sandringham-set special edition of The Windsors.
