Steven Berkoff co-stars in Dapper Laughs movie
He is an acclaimed, and intense, actor who has appeared in some of the classics of international cinema and electrified the elite theatrical world.
Now Steven Berkoff is to appear alongside Dapper Laughs in a movie that's been likened to Lesbian Vampire Killers.
Filming has just started on Fanged Up, in which the controversial comic plays a man imprisoned in a high-security jail whose governor, played by Berkoff, and guards are all vampires.
As well as Dapper Laughs, who is also appearing under his real name Daniel O'Reilly, the film also stars Lauren Socha, who won a Bafta for her role of Kelly in Misfits, and Danielle Harold, who formerly played Lola Pearce from Eastenders.
Other cast members include WWE wrestler Stu Bennett – known as Wade Barrettin the ring – boxer Joe Egan and YouTuber Anto Sharp. The Office's Ewen MacIntosh has a role as Bob The Patient
The comedy-horror was formerly described as 'The Inbetweeners meets Lesbian Vampire Killers' – James Corden and Matt Horne's much-derided 2009 film – but now producers are drawing comparisons with Shaun of The Dead and Attack The Block
Fanged Up has been co-written by O'Reilly, his regular co-prankster on Vine, Nick Nevern and Dan Palmer.
O'Reilly has been using his Dapper Laughs Twitter account to post updates from the filming in Portsmouth… although he also took time to tweet about the way International Men's Day 'piss's off the anti-men feminazi's' – a message likely to rile the grammar Nazis, too.

Producers Terry Stone and Richard Turner said in a statement: 'We are both really excited to have partnered together on this exciting comedy horror, which is squarely aimed at the 15 – 25 year old cinema going market.
'We're pleased to have cast an exciting mix of social influencers alongside some of Britain's best comedy and dramatic actors."'
Earlier this year, Berkoff starred as intimidating school caretaker Mr Klackov in Greg Davies's Channel 4 sitcom Man Down.
